I have completed 3 weeks of phase 3 and totally loved it. The foods I ate on this step was very close to what I eat normally. Except for cream cheese, I have always avoided this....but not on this round. Yummy!
I have maintained very well. I have not had to do a steak day yet. :) I only seem to go up a pound then I drop right back down.
So far I have added
grapes
pears
peaches
All veggies except:
potatoes
sweet potatoes
carrots
winter squash
I can eat:
cheese
sour cream
cream cheese (I am love this and tend to eat it alot...this will have to stop as I add other foods :( )
just started adding milk in. I had a cup yesterday and was just fine today.
peanut butter all natural no sugar added (start on this last week)
I have had a little sugar, but to be honest, it does not really taste good nor do I crave it. I was curious as to how it would taste and how my body would react. It is a relief that I am not drawn to it anymore......YEAH!
As for bread....not really missing it. I am going to add it back in. I only eat whole wheat anyways. I am planning on getting a bigger bread machine and making it for my whole family. this way I can control what is in it. For now Melba toast and some other whole grain toasts (45 cal) are what I eat
I have added mayo that has not sugar.
Tuna (I make a tuna cracker for lunch on busy days)
Woreshiresauce (has sugar)
reg. Soy (has sugar)
Dressing that is natural. It has a little Apple juice in it. I only use a little on my salads. I was never one for to much dressing. If you add diced tomatoes, they add juice to your salad and makes the dressing coat better.
I have brown rice! Totally YUM! I made a "Chinese" rice. It is so American I am not sure you can even call it that! (Note: I did not try this until Phase 4)
2 cups cook brown rice COLD. (I added a little broth to the water it requires to cook it for more flavor)
2 chicken breast cooked and diced
2 eggs scrambled
soy sauce to taste
2 green onions diced
I went light in my rice, more chicken and a fresh salad for dinner.
I really am taking the phase 4 slowly. I may add banana this week. Maybe bread towards the end of next week.
I will add in pasta....if I had more time I would learn to make it. Maybe as my little ones get older. We will see. Just not sure when yet.
